Singapore indulges taste buds in gastrodiplomacy journey
The Singapore International Culinary Exchange (SPICE), aims at showcasing the Singapore’s cuisine and culinary culture to the rest of the world with one mobile kitchen, nine cities, 10 chefs and 15 food brands on a 365-day journey of gastrodiplomacy.
Singapore is positioning itself as Asia’s most innovative culinary capital, a rich melting pot of cultures and heritage. The team is set to visit London, Paris, Moscow, New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai, New Delhi, Dubai and Sydney. In each city, Singapore’s celebrated chefs work with local talent from each destination for a 3-day long event.
The Singapore Takeout, a mobile pop-up kitchen unfolds from what looks like an ordinary shipping container, will be used to export Singapore’s cuisine.
